Fried Cabbage with Bacon and Onion

  1. In a large stockpot, cook the chopped bacon over medium-high heat until crispy, approximately 10 minutes.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook and stir until the onion caramelizes, around 10 minutes.
  3. Immediately stir in the sliced cabbage, continuing to cook and stir for an additional 10 minutes.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, ground black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes.
