Eating Eggs: The Best Way to Build Muscle?
Let’s get this straight: eating an omelet won’t turn you into Schwarzenegger or a bodybuilding champion overnight. That said, eggs are an excellent source of protein — but they alone won’t make you muscular.
“If you start stuffing yourself with eggs, you won’t get muscular, you’ll just get fat,” warns biologist Anne Weiserbs.
Protein, Yes — But With Moderation and Effort
Muscles are made of protein, and eggs contain plenty of it: about 6 to 7 grams per egg. That’s why many athletes love them when chasing quick results. But again, caution: eating eggs without exercising your muscles won’t do much for your physique.
The real secret? Physical effort.
Only by putting your muscles under tension — through weight training, resistance exercises, or consistent physical activity — does your body trigger the rebuilding process where proteins play a key role.
